Jan Cook tells us what some of the four-legged team members get up to when not performing.
'My Team dog Hetty works as an assistance dog for a small local charity called “From Fear to Friend” which helps children get over their fear of dogs (and is extraordinarily effective). The picture shows how much Hetty enjoys her work for the charity!
My retired Team dog, Lily, Hetty’s Aunty, was also a volunteer for the same charity and Lily’s brother Bertie, also now retired and owned by Team member Margaret, was an assistance dog for PAT dogs. All three are related - volunteering must be in their bloodlines!. The photo at the top of the page is Lily and Bertie proudly wearing their assistance jackets. Volunteering is most rewarding for dogs and handlers'.
